Emma Chippendale
Multidisciplinary Artist & Designer
Emma is a Lincoln-based multidisciplinary Artist and Designer, and current artist-in-residence at the Barbican Creative Hub. Her practice is rooted in a deep connection to nature, creating expressive, organic works that enhance and transform interior spaces.

Working across hand-painted murals, bespoke feature walls, and immersive installations, Emma draws inspiration from the elegance of Chinoiserie, combining intricate detail, and textures with a strong commitment to environmental awareness. Her work often celebrates the natural world while drawing attention to endangered species, resulting in visually rich and considered environments.
Emma has exhibited nationally and collaborated on a range of commissioned projects for organisations including The Arts Council, National Heritage, Doddington Hall, SO Festival, and Lost Village, and a selected artist for 2026 Upfest Festival in Bristol.
Notable recent work includes bespoke commissions for Stokes and creative direction for key areas within the refurbishment of Charlotte House Hotel in Lincoln.
Through both public and private commissions, Emma’s work is driven by a desire to create meaningful connections between people and place-crafting distinctive spaces that resonate, engage, and leave a lasting impression.
