A programme of exhibitions and events showcasing our Creatives in Residence
Over the past year, Lincoln’s Creatives in Residence have been exploring new ideas, testing ambitious concepts and developing their practice. This season brings together the outcomes of that work in a cohesive programme of five events, each offering a distinctive artistic voice while collectively celebrating each creative individually.
Developed between July 2025 and summer 2026, this season will mark the culmination of a year-long period of research, experimentation and making, inviting audiences to discover the artists and ideas shaping some of of Lincoln’s creative community.

Emma Chippendale 22-24 October
Step into Emma Chippendale’s evolving botanical world as her distinctive practice unfolds on an ambitious new scale.
Launched in November 2024, the Creatives in Residence programme was open to creatives from all sectors of the creative industries, whether working independently or as part of a collective. Focused on fostering innovation, the programme aims to support creatives in developing sustainable careers while contributing to Lincoln’s growing creative ecosystem.
Residents receive a wide range of support, including business development, networking opportunities, professional development, and one-to-one business mentorship, alongside a fully funded studio space at the Barbican.
The programme is supported using public funding by Arts Council England via the University of Lincoln’s Centre for Culture and Creativity and delivered through Barbican Creative Hub.
