ABOUT

Michael Thacker is a sculptor based in Lincoln, known for his distinctive abstract sculptures carved from local limestone and finished with 24-carat hand-beaten gold leaf that reflects and accentuates light for dramatic effect. Thacker spent 15 years working as a stone carver and mason at Lincoln Cathedral and now works full-time as a sculptor, often using gilding to bring his pieces to life.
