DCMS announced continued support for the UK Games Fund as part of a joint plan between Government and industry to drive growth, build talent and develop skills across the creative sectors. The funding was announced as part of the UK Government’s Growth for Games strategy.
Starter Fund
- £20,000 for a successful applicant
- Available to new-start or new graduate-companies, not previously funded by us.

Prototype Fund
- £50,000 – £100,000 for a successful applicant (though we may consider an amount as low as £30,000)
- Available to early-stage companies, who have demonstrable creativity, know what they are making and why, have a commercial mindset, and can evidence their business decisions.

Content Fund
- £150,000 – £250,000
- Available to more established companies, who have a history of development and business success, and can attract leverage around larger-scale projects.
